Ferrer, a Spanish pharmaceutical company, has launched an international open innovation challenge seeking start-ups with digital solutions for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

The challenge, part of the Ferrer4Future program, aims to address unmet clinical needs in ALS patient care. Start-ups are encouraged to demonstrate how their technology can positively impact various areas of ALS care, including remote monitoring, wearable devices, digital therapeutics, and patient support tools. The program seeks solutions that enhance the patient experience and have been validated in the market.

Selected projects participate in the Ferrer4Future programme, which includes the possibility of piloting the solution in a real use case and of exploring commercial alliances and collaborations with Ferrer.

The open innovation challenge provides an exciting opportunity for international start-ups to contribute to ALS care and make a meaningful impact on patients’ lives.
